The Easy Star All Stars are a dub reggae band from New York. Their first album, which was top of my playlist for quite some time, is made up of dub covers of Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon album. I liked this album as I am a big dub fan and also a fan of the pre Rodger Waters Pink Floyd material. The album is cleverly put together and is very tight (if you can use that word to describe dub ) as well as being one hour of pure fun. Their second album features covers of the Radiohead “OK Computer” album.
They have released a new EP this year titled “Until That Day” that features new and original material. Apart from the single for which I have embedded the video below I’ve not heard this yet but I will endeavor to track it down before the gig.
I noticed on their tour listings on Myspace that they will be playing in Dublin tagged as Northern Ireland. Now guys that will be quite a contentious statement.

Thanks for the coverage, but I wanted to let you know that you posted a picture of John Brown’s Body, another band on Easy Star. Here is a link to pictures of ESAS. Thanks
