Black Milk

When Stones Throw records were last in town Madlib and J-Rocc were joined onstage by Black Milk & Guilty Simpson for several tracks. They really rocked the house. Stones Throw records are based in Los Angeles California and was founded by DJ Peanut Butter Wolf. In my opinion this is currently one the most interesting hip hop record labels.

Black Milk & Guilty Simpson are from Detroit and as you would expect the music has a heavy vibe. Black Milk’s new album Tronic on Fat Beats Records is to be released later this month and features appearances by DJ Premier among others.

This is Black Milk’s new single, Give The Drummer Sum.

Guilty Simpson’s debut album on Stones Throw Records was released this year and has production credits from J Dilla & Madlib & more.

This is the latest single from Guilty Simpson, Man’s World.

Bishop Lamont is from California and is a protege of Dr Dre. All three of these artists have collaborated on various shared projects so if you are a hip hop lover this should be an interesting night. I have included two (unfortunately somewhat censored) videos below.
