Disrupt hails from Leipzig Germany and is a music project of the producer Jan Gleichmar. Jan runs a netlabel called Jahtari that specializes in electronically made dub and reggae music, which he calls “digital laptop reggae”. Disrupt puts out 8bit digital dub bass monsters. I particularly like the aptly titled “Bomb” track from his “Foundation Bit” album that is built around a sample from John Carpenter’s film Dark Star. This night is hosted by Amsterdam’s Bassculture and the other acts on the lineup are Rootah (Jahtari), Mc Instruktah D (Jahtari), Manu, DanceFlava, Jah Depender & Parttime Warrior, Vj Arlo[z]
