Harmonic 313
Harmonic 313 is the latest project from Mark Pritchard. Mark has had many electronic music projects over the years including the Global Communication, Jedi Knights, Link, Reload and Troubleman. I’ve seen him DJ a few times under the guise of various projects and I had the pleasure of seeing him and Tom Middleton playing ambient electronica tracks from their seminal Global Communications album 76:14 at the Big Chill festival.
As part of the Warp records album launch party Harmonic 313 is playing in OT301. Harmonic 313 released an EP last year and this year launches the first album “When Machines Exceed Human Intelligence”. The style of music is varied, it goes from bleepy electronica and dirty techno through hip hop into dub step.
Here’s a couple of videos to give those who are not familiar with this project an idea where the music is at.
The Bug
The Bug (Kevin Martin) is a producer with a rich background in dub projects that includes Techno Animal and Experimental Audio Research. His 2008 release of “London Zoo” featured heavily on my playlist last year and was well received by the critics. He played in Amsterdam last year and for those of you who missed him now’s you chance to check him out.
