This hardcore/punk band from Montreal Canada played in the Maloe Melo on Wednesday night. The crowd that had come along to see the local band Huig mostly cleared out after after they had finished.
They really missed out as the Trigger Effect are in a different class and played a blistering energetic set. As with many acts this band is even better live than on record. Not satisfied with the small stage the band spent a lot of time on the floor in the crowd, in the air and at times up the walls. With the twin Marshal stacks and thundering drums they were very loud in this small venue.

I spoke with Nick the singer from the band after the gig. He told me that they plan to back in Amsterdam again soon so check these guys out when they do. (bring ear plugs)
